Michelle Pfeiffer Joyfully Announces Being a Grandmother
Michelle Pfeiffer has revealed she is a grandmother for the first time, describing the experience as “heaven.” The 67-year-old actress shared the news on the Smartless podcast, hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. She expressed her excitement, noting that she had kept the news private until now.
Pfeiffer's Family
Pfeiffer adopted her daughter, Claudia Rose, in March 1993. Claudia is now 32 years old. Later that year, in November, Michelle Pfeiffer married David E. Kelley. In August 1994, their son, John Henry, who is now 31, was born. The actress did not specify which of her children had become a parent.

Balancing Career and Family
Reflecting on her career and family life, Pfeiffer stated, “If I had known I was going to be a grandmother, I wouldn’t have taken so much work, but I have enjoyed everything and I am very grateful.” She previously took a break from acting in the late 1990s to focus on raising her young children.
"I have now an empty nest," Pfeiffer told Interview in 2017. "I never lost my love for acting. But I was pretty careful about where I filmed, how long I was away, and whether it fit into the children’s schedule. And I became so picky that I wasn’t castable anymore."
A Look Back at Her Career
Michelle Pfeiffer's breakthrough role came with the musical film Grease 2, a sequel to the 1978 hit. Throughout her career, she has received three Oscar nominations for her performances in Dangerous Liaisons, The Fabulous Baker Boys, and Love Field.
