Cardi B Announces Pregnancy: Expecting Fourth Child with Stefon Diggs
Cardi B is pregnant with her fourth child, her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs. The "I Like It" rapper, 32, announced the news in an interview on "CBS Mornings," revealing the baby is due in February. The announcement confirms weeks of speculation regarding her relationship with the NFL star.
The Announcement and Her Feelings
During the "CBS Mornings" interview with Gayle King, which aired Wednesday, Sept. 17, Cardi B expressed her excitement and happiness about the pregnancy. "I'm excited," she said. "I'm happy. I feel like I'm in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful that I'm doing all this work — but I'm doing all this work while I'm creating a baby." She also joked about needing to sell more albums to afford diapers.
Cardi B also shared that she was waiting for the right time to announce her pregnancy. "I just was like, 'Can I just say it on my own time?' Like, I'm not hiding," Cardi B said. "On my time, on my own terms. Let me close some deals first, you know what I'm saying? Let me close some deals first. And it's like, you don't really want to say right way that you're pregnant. It's like, 'Let me see a couple of more sonograms. Let my baby be healthy.'"
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs' Relationship
Cardi B revealed that Diggs, a 31-year-old wide receiver for the New England Patriots, provides her with emotional and physical safety. "He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong," said Cardi B. She recounted a recent panic attack she experienced due to the stress of her upcoming album rollout and how Diggs helped her through it.
The couple has been linked since October 2024 and made their first public appearance together at a Boston Celtics and New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in May 2025. Cardi B also told King about her relationship. "Me and my man, we're very supportive of each other. We're like in the same space in our careers," she said.
Cardi B's Family and Previous Relationships
Cardi B shares three children with her estranged husband, rapper Offset: daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, 7, son Wave Set Cephus, 3, and daughter Blossom, whom they welcomed in September 2024. Offset also has three children from previous relationships. Diggs is already a dad to a daughter named Nova. Cardi B admitted she hadn't yet told her parents about the pregnancy when the interview was taped. "They just be looking at me," she said, noting that she was reluctant to tell them because she's scared of them.
Upcoming Album and Future Plans
Cardi B's new album, "Am I The Drama?," is scheduled to be released on Sept. 19. She encouraged fans to support her album so she can "buy Pampers and diapers." The rapper stated that the album "touch every little thing that I want to touch. And I just feel like it's something that is not out there right now." Cardi B is balancing her pregnancy with the release of new music and preparing for her "Little Miss Drama" arena tour, which begins in February.
