Netanyahu Blasts Tucker Carlson's Israel Criticism, Calls Him Defender of 'America's Worst Enemies'

Netanyahu Responds to Tucker Carlson's Criticism, Defends Israel's Actions

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directly addressed criticism from far-right commentator Tucker Carlson, defending Israel's relationship with the United States and its role in the Middle East. The exchange stems from a discussion about Israel's historical ties to the land and its current standing as a technological and democratic force.

Netanyahu's Rebuttal to Carlson's Claims

During a conversation with Dinesh D'Souza, Netanyahu addressed Carlson's skepticism regarding the connection between modern Israelis and the ancient Israelites. Netanyahu asserted the undeniable link, stating that Jews have never forgotten their ancestral homeland. He emphasized Israel's development into a technological powerhouse and a democratic beacon despite facing constant threats from hostile neighbors.

“Of course, there’s no question about it. The Jews spread from this land to various parts of Europe, to the Middle East, and elsewhere, but we never, never forgot this land. We said, ‘Next year in Jerusalem, next year in Jerusalem.’”

Netanyahu directly challenged Carlson's perspective, questioning whom Carlson was defending by criticizing Israel. He argued that those who threaten Israel often harbor animosity towards the United States as well, pointing to groups chanting "Death to America."

Defending Israel's Role in the Middle East

Netanyahu highlighted Israel's unique position in the Middle East as a safe haven for Christians, emphasizing that they are not just tolerated but welcomed and participate fully in Israeli society. He contrasted this with the destruction of churches and holy sites elsewhere in the region.

He further accused Carlson of being ignorant of both Jewish and general history. Netanyahu argued that criticizing Israel serves the interests of America's enemies, not its allies.

Carlson's Criticism and Claims of Influence

Carlson's recent criticisms of Israel include accusations that Netanyahu claims to "control" President Donald Trump, a claim Carlson finds "humiliating." Carlson also asserted that the U.S. government concealed the truth behind the 9/11 terror attacks.

Carlson's Recent Rant on Netanyahu's "Control" Over the US

In a separate appearance on Glenn Greenwald's "System Update" podcast, Tucker Carlson doubled down on his criticism, alleging that Netanyahu boasts about his "control" over U.S. leaders and Donald Trump. Carlson framed his critique as an attack on U.S. leaders who allow the nation to be unduly influenced by another country.

"Bibi's running around... and telling people point blank, just stating it, 'I control the United States. I control Donald Trump.'"

Carlson argues that this perceived influence constitutes a "humiliation ritual" for Americans and that he refuses to accept it. He dismissed accusations of bigotry, stating that he is merely criticizing the leaders of his own country for allowing this situation to occur.

Carlson's Perspective on the Israel-Hamas Conflict

Carlson referred to Israel's war with Hamas as an "expansion" and claimed that critics resort to personal attacks and accusations of bigotry in response to his views. He maintains that these labels do not affect him because he believes them to be untrue.
