Bindi Irwin's Daughter Grace Warrior Charms as Family's "Map-Reader"

Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, the 4-year-old daughter of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell, is showing off her impressive navigation skills. Despite her young age, Grace volunteered to be the family's "map-reader" during a recent adventure, proving that sometimes, old-fashioned methods are just as good as GPS.

Grace Takes Charge

Chandler Powell shared the heartwarming moment on Instagram, noting Grace's enthusiasm for her self-appointed role. "These family adventures are the best," he wrote. "Grace named herself the ‘map-reader’ for the day so we were in good hands." Her beaming smile in the accompanying photo suggests she took her job very seriously.

The photo shows the family on a bridge with palm trees and a blue sky behind them. While Grace doesn't have the map in her hands in the photo, her proud expression speaks volumes about her confidence and leadership skills. Commenters on Powell's post gushed over Grace's eagerness, with one writing, "Map – reader 🤣😍 how lovely . She’ll do a great job being your map-reader."

Irwins in Los Angeles

The Irwins are currently in Los Angeles, supporting Robert Irwin as he competes on Dancing with the Stars, which premieres soon. Even amidst the excitement of the show, the family is making time for fun adventures. Another recent snapshot shows Grace sporting daisy-shaped sunglasses next to a cactus. "Grace: ‘I’m as tall as a cactus now!!’ 🌵" Bindi wrote, adding, "These are the things that matter most when you’re four years old.”

Between map-reading, cactus comparisons, and supporting her uncle's ballroom dancing endeavors, Grace Warrior is certainly living a fulfilling childhood. This comes after the announcement by her mother, Bindi, of needing surgery for endometriosis, referring to Grace as their “tiny little miracle."

Steve Irwin's Legacy: Bindi and Robert Irwin Continue His Work

Steve Irwin, the beloved "Crocodile Hunter," left behind a remarkable legacy of wildlife conservation. His children, Bindi Irwin and Robert Irwin, continue to champion his mission, working at the Australia Zoo and inspiring a new generation of animal lovers.

Bindi Irwin: Wildlife Warrior and Mother

Bindi Irwin, born on July 24, 1998, embraced her father's passion for wildlife from a young age. She starred in her own docuseries, Bindi the Jungle Girl, and won season 21 of Dancing With the Stars. Bindi married Chandler Powell in March 2020, and they welcomed their daughter, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, a year later. Grace's middle names honor Steve Irwin's legacy as a "Wildlife Warrior."

Losing her father at a young age profoundly impacted Bindi. She has leaned on her mother, Terri Irwin, and her husband, Chandler, for support throughout the years. In January 2022, Bindi honored both her father and daughter with a new tattoo, featuring Steve's handwriting and the words "My graceful warrior," which she spoke to Grace when she was born.

Robert Irwin: Following in His Father's Footsteps

Robert Irwin, born on December 1, 2003, is also dedicated to wildlife conservation. He works alongside his mother, sister, and brother-in-law at the Australia Zoo. Robert fondly remembers his father and strives to continue his legacy. "He'd always go, 'I don't care if people remember me, I want people to remember my message and what I stand for,'" Robert told PEOPLE. "And I think people remember his message and him. He just showed what it was to truly live life at 100% and above anything else, he was just the greatest dad, always there for us."

Robert is participating in season 34 of Dancing with the Stars with Witney Carson. He still treasures his father's motorbike, often riding it around the Australia Zoo to remember him. "Every time I start that thing, it brings back so many memories, and I absolutely love it,” he wrote on Instagram in February 2024.
