Travis Kelce Reveals Live Music Preference for Upcoming Wedding to Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Wedding Plans Emerge as Kansas City Celebrates Engagement

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's upcoming wedding is generating buzz, with hints about the event surfacing alongside a unique celebration in Kansas City. The couple, who announced their engagement on August 26th, are reportedly prioritizing live music for their nuptials. Meanwhile, Kansas City is embracing the happy news with a giant corn maze dedicated to their love story.

Wedding Planning Details

Travis Kelce recently shared insights into the wedding planning process. On "New Heights," he told Jimmy Fallon that he and Taylor Swift are leaning towards live music for their reception. With the Kansas City steakhouse venture with Patrick Mahomes now established, Kelce stated that wedding planning is his "number one priority," adding, "That one is gonna be easy, I just have to figure out how to win a football game first." Swift has not publicly addressed the engagement since her initial announcement, but Kelce's comments offer a glimpse into their preparations.

Kansas City's "Enchanted" Celebration

The city of Kansas City is celebrating the engagement with an elaborate corn maze located on a farm in Belton, Missouri. Precision Mazes carved the design into a 9-acre cornfield at Johnson Farms Plants & Pumpkins. The design features an image of Swift and Kelce embracing, along with two intertwined rings displaying Kelce's jersey number, 87, and Swift's lucky number, 13.

The maze also incorporates the phrase "Kansas City is Enchanted," a nod to Swift's hit song "Enchanted". Since they began dating in 2023, Swift has become a familiar face at Arrowhead Stadium, enthusiastically supporting Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.

A Look Back at the Proposal

Swift revealed the engagement on Instagram, writing, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨." The post garnered over 37 million likes. The couple also shared photos of the proposal, which took place at Kelce's home, showcasing a flower-filled setting and a close-up of Swift's engagement ring.

Speaking to Erin Andrews of NFL on FOX, Kelce described the proposal as emotional, admitting to "a few tears." He said, "She has brought excitement and a joy for life that made me a better man, made me a better person, and made me just that much more comfortable in who I am."

Looking Ahead: A Private Affair

According to a source close to the couple, Swift and Kelce intend to keep their wedding "more private" and "not a spectacle." The source added, "They both have a close circle of friends, and they’ll respect their privacy."
