Fatal Collision in Mapleton: Two Dead After Tractor-Truck Incident
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a tragic two-vehicle collision in Mapleton, Ontario, that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The incident involved a farm tractor and a pick-up truck.
Details of the Collision
On Friday, October 3, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., emergency services, including the OPP, local fire services, and Emergency Medical Services, responded to a report of a collision on Eighth Line in Mapleton. The crash involved a farm tractor and a pick-up truck. Tragically, both occupants of the pick-up truck were pronounced dead at the scene.
Victims and Injuries
The occupants of the pick-up truck have been identified as a 32-year-old male and a 39-year-old female, both from Drayton. The driver of the farm tractor was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Ongoing Investigation
Eighth Line remains closed between Sideroad 19 and Sideroad 17 as the investigation continues. The OPP are receiving assistance from the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement, Technical Collision Investigation, and Reconstruction teams. The OPP expressed their gratitude to the public for their patience and cooperation.
