Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due to Health Challenges

Country music legend Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas residency, originally scheduled for December 2025 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The planned six-show engagement titled ‘Dolly: Live in Las Vegas’ will mark her first extended run in Sin City in over three decades.

Parton made the announcement to fans on Instagram, stating that she is experiencing some health challenges that prevent the shows from happening this year. The shows have been rescheduled for September 2026.

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” the singer writes. “As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

“In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. While I can still work on projects from here in Nashville, I need a little time to get show ready, as they say.”

“And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding,” Parton concludes.

All tickets purchased for the original December dates will be honored for the rescheduled shows in September 2026, with refunds available for those unable to attend the new dates. ‘Dolly: Live in Vegas’ was designed to showcase seven decades of hits, featuring songs like “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Coat of Many Colors.” This handful of dates quickly sold out, reflecting continued robust demand for live events from legacy artists.
