Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a video on social media early Tuesday, in which he summed up his trip to the United States as an "excellent" success.
Netanyahu claimed that Israel has "flipped the script" by isolating Hamas, stating that global pressure, including from Arab and Muslim nations, is now focused on the group to accept a deal.
Netanyahu said President Trump vowed to give Israel his "full backing to complete the military operation for its elimination" if Hamas refuses the terms. He added that the proposed deal would allow the IDF to remain in most of Gaza.
Responding to a question from his own team on whether the two leaders agreed to the establishment of a Palestinian state, Netanyahu stated unequivocally, "Absolutely not, that is not even written in the agreement."
He reiterated Israel's strong opposition to a Palestinian state, a position he claimed President Trump "understands."
