Winnipeg Police have seized over $20,000 worth of cocaine after an investigation in Seven Oaks.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns and Gangs Unit began an investigation regarding a drug trafficking operation within the City of Winnipeg in September 2025. Officers identified a suspect in a drug trafficking investigation.
Just after 7 p.m. on September 24, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Belmont Avenue and arrested the male suspect. A search of the man revealed a canister of bear spray and just under $4,000 in Canadian currency.
About an hour later, shortly after 8 p.m., a search warrant was executed with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team in a residence in the 200 block of Belmont Avenue and a woman was taken into custody.
Officers seized the following items during the search warrant:
288 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $20,000
$340 in Canadian currency
Electronic scales
Drug packaging and other drug paraphernalia
The 27-year-old female has been charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. She was released on an Appearance Notice.
The 31-year-old male has been charged with the following:
Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 x 2
Possession of a Weapon
Take Motor Vehicle Without Owner Consent (Joyriding)
He was detained in custody.
