JOHANNESBURG - The race for the Ekurhuleni mayoral position has officially begun.
ActionSA has announced Xolani Khumalo, known for his work on the TV show "Sizok'thola", as its candidate. He is also recognised for his efforts in combating crime and drugs.
Khumalo has pledged to advocate for the residents of Ekurhuleni if elected mayor in the next year's local government elections. He has pledged to step up the fight against corruption if he becomes mayor.
