In a recent interview with PEOPLE, she explained, "Alan came into our dance rehearsal and helped out with some things. I came into their dance rehearsal, helped out. It's great to be supportive like that." Slater's partner, Andy Richter, confirmed this, noting that she seeks Bersten's input when struggling with choreography.

The couple officially confirmed their relationship with an onstage kiss at the conclusion of the DWTS: Live! 2025 tour in April. Before that, they’d kept their relationship relatively private.
