HIVE Digital Technologies Reports 138% Year-Over-Year Bitcoin Output Increase, Stock Jumps 25%

HIVE Digital Technologies (Nasdaq: HIVE) announced a substantial increase in Bitcoin output for September 2025, producing 267 BTC, an 8% month-over-month increase from August and 138% year-over-year growth.

The Canadian public Bitcoin miner currently makes an average of 9 BTC every day. Its worldwide fleet now has more than 21 exahash per second (EH/s) and is powered exclusively by renewable hydroelectric power at its sites in Canada, Sweden, and Paraguay.

The company claims that a lot of its recent output rise was due to the opening of its 100 MW Phase 3 Valenzuela plant in Paraguay.

Almost half of the facility's hashrate capacity is now online, thanks to the completion of civil works and the installation of powered hydro containers. More ASICs are set to be deployed in October.

The firm's difficulty level also rose faster than the whole Bitcoin network's, which was 16%. This indicates that the company remains able to operate efficiently despite the mining difficulties.

“Our global Bitcoin mining fleet now produces over 9 BTC per day,” said Executive Chairman Frank Holmes, praising the Paraguay team for advancing Phase 3 “ahead of schedule."

Aydin Kilic, President and CEO, has confirmed HIVE's expectation of 25 EH/s by U.S. Thanksgiving and noted a projected average fleet efficiency of 17.5 joules/terahash (J/TH).

Looking ahead, HIVE has indicated that all ASIC purchases for Phase 3 have shipped and expects revenue increases to coincide with future increases in hashrate.

The company commented that having stable energy costs and having a fixed infrastructure make Paraguay one of HIVE's most scalable markets.

The HIVE stock jumped more than 25% following the announcement and closed at $5.57 on Oct. 6.
