Taylor Swift to Appear on 'Graham Norton Show' Ahead of Album Release
Taylor Swift is set to appear on the 'Graham Norton Show', marking one of her first major TV appearances since announcing her engagement to Travis Kelce. She will be promoting her new album, 'The Life of a Showgirl', on the day of its release, October 3rd.
Swift's Upcoming Appearance
BBC announced that Swift will join actors Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Domhnall Gleeson on the show. Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi is also slated to perform. The episode is scheduled to air on BBC One at 10.40pm on Friday, October 3rd.
This appearance marks a relatively rare interview for Swift, whose most recent sit-down was on Kelce's podcast, 'New Heights', back in August. This will be one of her first since the pair announced their engagement on Instagram in June.
'The Life of a Showgirl'
'The Life of a Showgirl' promises to be a revealing album, with Swift describing it as a glamorization of the various aspects of her recent Eras Tour experience. The album features 12 tracks, including the title track (featuring Sabrina Carpenter) and a song called "Cancelled!". During her European tour stops, Swift flew to Sweden to collaborate with producers Max Martin and Shellback, known for their work on her albums 'Red', '1989', and 'Reputation'.
Graham Norton's Thoughts on Swift
Graham Norton has expressed his admiration for Taylor Swift over the years. In January, he described her as "grounded" and "normal," admitting to being a "Swiftie". He has often lauded her ability to remain down-to-earth despite her global fame. "What’s extraordinary about Taylor Swift, because here’s a woman — she could change the economy of a country just by showing up. And yet she seems so grounded, so normal. It’s fascinating."
Swift's Previous Appearances
Swift has previously appeared on 'The Graham Norton Show' to promote her albums 'Red', '1989', and 'Lover'. In 2022, she discussed her "All Too Well: The Short Film." During that appearance, U2's Bono confessed to being a "Swiftie", prompting speculation about a potential collaboration.
