Lara Trump and Missouri Right to Life President Honored at St. Charles Event
Over 1,100 Missourians gathered in St. Charles, Missouri on Monday for an event hosted by Missouri Right to Life, featuring Lara Trump. The evening included tributes, calls to action, and culminated in standing ovations for both Trump and Missouri Right to Life President Steve Rupp.
A Celebration of Service and Commitment
The event began with recognitions of service and sacrifice. Pam Manning and Bill Winters were memorialized for their dedication to Missouri Right to Life. Veterans were honored, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited, and Archbishop Robert Carlson offered the invocation.
Pam Fichter presented Congressman Bob Onder with the Missouri Right to Life 2025 Champion for Life award. Fichter praised Onder as a “steadfast warrior for life” whose legislative efforts helped Missouri become the first state to ban abortion after the Dobbs decision.
Missouri Right to Life's Resolve
Steve Rupp delivered a report on the year's challenges, including the battle against Amendment 3. Despite being significantly outspent, Rupp emphasized the organization's unwavering stance: "We did not yield. We did not flinch. We stood." He highlighted the mobilization of 2,750 volunteers, the placement of 70,000 yard signs, and the organization's presence in 106 of 116 counties. The audience responded with cheers.
"We will be the voice for the voiceless. We will be the defenders of the most sacred right of all — the right to life. And this time—we will win."
Despite the narrow passage of the pro-abortion initiative, Rupp framed it as a message, not a defeat, leading to a standing ovation from the audience.
Strategic Partnerships and Future Plans
Rupp announced a full partnership with the Missouri GOP and the appointment of Jessica Flanagain of Axiom Strategies to spearhead the 2026 campaign. He expressed confidence in their combined strength, stating, "With their organizational strength and our expansive pro-life infrastructure, we are building an unstoppable coalition."
Lara Trump's Keynote Address
The introduction of Lara Trump, Fox News host and former co-chair of the Republican National Committee, was met with thunderous applause. She spoke about the importance of faith and family, sharing a personal tradition of praying with her children every night. Trump praised Missouri's resilience and urged attendees to "Fight, fight, fight!"
Her message resonated deeply with the audience: "God has a purpose for every life, and every life is precious." The declaration prompted another standing ovation.
Financial Support and Continued Dedication
Pam Fichter concluded the evening with a call to action, reminding attendees of the close margin in the previous campaign. "Every gift is a shield. Every sacrifice is a sword," she stated as pledge envelopes were collected.
A Movement Forward
The evening ended with a benediction from Rich Bott of Bott Radio Network, leaving attendees with renewed determination. The sentiment "Missouri must win" echoed throughout the event. For many, it was not just a fundraiser but a declaration of resolve, signaling that Missouri Right to Life will remain steadfast in its mission.
