Binance Launches Airdrop for Boundless (ZKC), a New Universal ZK Rollup Protocol
Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, is rolling out support for Boundless (ZKC), a new universal ZK rollup protocol. This project will be featured in Binance's HODLer Airdrops program, rewarding BNB holders with ZKC tokens based on historical snapshots of their BNB balances. Boundless aims to scale ZK-powered verifiable compute for every chain.
What is Boundless (ZKC)?
According to its whitepaper, Boundless establishes an efficient and open market where operators of GPUs and other commodity hardware, called "provers," compete for on or off-chain requests for zero-knowledge proofs. These requests are issued by "requestors" and payment is settled upon verification of the proof on the destination chain. This system allows for scalable and verifiable compute across multiple blockchains.
Understanding ZK Rollups
ZK rollups are a type of scaling solution that executes transactions outside of a blockchain but records the transactional data. They run computations off-chain and then submit a validity report. This differs from Optimistic rollups, which automatically assume transactions are valid. The use of ZK rollups enhances transaction speed and efficiency while maintaining security.
ZKC Trading on Binance and Seed Tag
Binance will commence ZKC trading on Monday and will attach a seed tag to the token. This designation is applied to projects with lower liquidity that may exhibit higher volatility compared to other listed tokens. Users trading assets with seed tags must pass quizzes every 90 days to ensure they understand the associated risks. This measure is in place to protect users and promote informed trading decisions.
Boundless (ZKC) Listing on Bybit
In addition to Binance, ZKC (Boundless) is also slated to be listed on Bybit on September 15, 2025, at 2 PM UTC. New exchange listings often increase accessibility and trading volume, potentially leading to price appreciation. Investors are interested in Boundless due to its use of zero-knowledge proofs. However, price corrections may occur if many early buyers sell following the initial surge. Traders should closely monitor trading activity upon launch.
Boundless on Binance HODLer Airdrops and Alpha Platform
Boundless is the 39th project to be presented on Binance HODLer Airdrops. The project will also be listed on Binance Alpha. This provides early access to the token for BNB holders.
Boundless (ZKC) - A Revolutionary ZK Protocol
Boundless (ZKC), developed by the team behind RISC Zero, is a ZK protocol revolutionizing blockchain scalability and verifiable compute. As a decentralized marketplace, it enables any blockchain or application to access off-chain ZK proofs for heavy computations. These include tasks like rollup upgrades, DeFi risk assessments, and privacy-preserving transactions, without requiring architectural overhauls.
Proof of Verifiable Work (PoVW)
By leveraging RISC Zero’s zkVM, Boundless turns compute into a financial asset. Provers, utilizing CPUs or GPUs, bid on tasks and stake ZKC tokens as collateral. They earn rewards via the innovative “Proof of Verifiable Work” (PoVW) mechanism. This system prioritizes useful zkVM cycles over wasteful hashing, ensuring network security and efficiency.
Launch and Backing
Launched in Mainnet beta on Base in July 2025 with $52 million in funding from backers like Blockchain Capital and Bain Capital Crypto, Boundless boasts over 255,000 X followers. It currently supports Ethereum and plans to expand universally. Season 1 airdrops started August 25 via social tasks and NFT minting. Trading on Binance Alpha begins September 15, 2025, signaling a significant shift in crypto's labor economy. The Ethereum Foundation and EigenLayer are among the early adopters highlighting its potential to create internet-scale blockchains.
