There are a few different ways the Chicago Cubs will have to navigate the offseason.

Of course, keeping Kyle Tucker in town should be the priority, but other factors will have an impact.
For one, if the Cubs don't plan on making the rest of the roster competent enough with Tucker to win it all, there's no reason to keep him. The simple fact of the matter here is that if they want to give him a $400 to $500-plus million deal, depending on what it comes out to, they have to spend on the remainder of the roster.
Is Kyle Tucker bound for the Yankees?
Tucker also has to consider a few different things, mainly whether he wants to be paid as much or be paid well and have a chance to win. More often than not, players can find a good balance in that.

When predicting where Tucker might land, Jim Riley of BallCapSports recently predicted that he'd sign with the New York Yankees, a place that would allow him to do both things.
Not only would the Yankees have the money to pay Tucker, but they should be good enough to compete for a World Series.
"I believe in the end the New York Yankees will win that bidding war," Riley said. "To pair Judge with a dangerous lefty hitter again (after Soto), bang, bang, one-two, that's a power combo right here, Tucker and Judge, and I think the Yankees want that. I think they won't be outbid, they won't take no for an answer, and I see Tucker in pinstripes."

It hasn't exactly been the best year for the Yankees by their standards.
However, it's also fair to mention that the Yankees are still well-positioned to make the postseason.
They have more than enough talent to get the job done, so adding Tucker would only add to that.
