A suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old Canadian man, Giovanni Michael Robinson, in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin earlier this week. The incident occurred on Wednesday, and an arrest was made on Friday.

Suspect Charged with First-Degree Reckless Homicide

Luis E. Cruz Burgos, 35, has been arrested and charged with first-degree reckless homicide in connection with Robinson's death. He is currently being held at the Sheboygan County Detention Center. Police say they executed a search warrant in the 2300 block of Kroos Court in Sheboygan.

Details of the Shooting

Giovanni Michael Robinson, known as Mike, was originally from Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. He was in Sheboygan Falls for a golf trip when he was fatally shot in what police believe was a drive-by shooting. The incident took place while he was walking back to his hotel in the early hours of Wednesday morning near Highway 32 and Monroe St.

Family's Devastation and Search for Answers

Robinson's family is devastated by his death and is seeking answers. They have described him as a new father, as he and his wife just had a baby girl six weeks ago, and someone who was an incredible person. His brother, Jacob Robinson, told CBC News that Mike had been living in Pennsylvania with his American wife. He had also just achieved his first-ever hole-in-one on Tuesday at a golf course.

Investigation Ongoing

The Sheboygan Falls Police Department is continuing its investigation into the shooting. Police say they will provide more details as the investigation progresses and that a news conference is scheduled for early next week. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot by an unknown individual driving a small, dark-colored SUV.

A spokesperson for Global Affairs Canada has expressed condolences to the family and loved ones of Giovanni Michael Robinson. Consular officials are in contact with local authorities to gather more information and are providing consular assistance to the family. A GoFundMe campaign has been started to support the Robinson family during this difficult time.
