'High Potential' season 2 premiered on September 16, 2025, continuing the story of Morgan (Kaitlin Olson), a genius-level cleaner who assists the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) with investigations.
What to Expect in Season 2
Season 1 ended with cliffhangers involving a serial killer called the Game Maker and the reveal that Morgan’s ex-husband, Roman, is alive. Showrunner Todd Harthan assured viewers that season 2 will address these plot points early on. “We have a pretty healthy plan for how we’re going to kick off the season,” he stated in a February 2025 interview with The Wrap.

Mekhi Phifer (ER) joins in a recurring guest role, and Steve Howey (Shameless) has been added as a series regular, playing Jesse Wagner, the precinct's new captain. Additionally, Keith Carradine will guest star as Newmeyer, a business mogul with questionable ethics. Returning cast members include Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Judy Reyes, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, and Matthew Lamb.
