They will also add more languages over time. The translate feature is currently offering English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic for Android users. (Image: WhatsApp)
WhatsApp on Thursday, September 24, introduced a new feature that allows users to live translate messages, enabling communication across languages. Considering billions of people are using WhatsApp, the feature aims to overcome the language and cultural barriers.
If a user receives a message in a different language, all they need to do is long-press on the message and click on ‘Translate’ from the drop-down menu. Users will also get an additional option to save the translated message. This new feature is available for Group chats, personal chats and channel updates.
