Actress Charlize Theron's car stolen from her Los Angeles home
A vehicle belonging to Charlize Theron was stolen from her Los Angeles-area property, law enforcement sources exclusively told NBC4 Investigates Friday.
The theft happened Thursday when a person walked onto her property through an open gate and drove off with her BMW, the sources within the Los Angeles Police Department said. At the time of the theft, the key fob was inside the car.

LAPD investigators were able to recover the car as they continued with the investigation and search for the suspect.
NBC Los Angeles reached out to Theron's representative but has not heard back.
