Charli XCX and George Daniel, drummer for The 1975, have celebrated their love with a second wedding ceremony in Sicily, Italy, on September 14th. This follows their intimate London wedding in July, and included notable guests like Daniel's bandmate Matty Healy.

After initially tying the knot during a private ceremony at Hackney Town Hall in London on July 19th, Charli XCX (Charlotte Emma Aitchison) and George Daniel hosted a larger celebration for friends and family in the picturesque setting of Sicily. The event took place at Tonnara Di Scopello in Scopello, Sicily. Photos have emerged showing the couple at the alter and celebrating with friends.
Ahead of the wedding, Charli XCX shared glimpses of pre-wedding festivities on Instagram, including snapshots with friends like Healy's fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel, and influencer Devon Lee Carlson. The photos showed the group exploring Sicilian streets, enjoying artwork, and having drinks. A video even showed Charli and George dancing in an ornate ballroom.
London Nuptials and the Road to Sicily
The couple's first wedding in London was a more intimate affair with around 20 guests, including Charli's parents and Daniel's bandmates (minus Healy). Charli wore an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown with a dramatic veil and black sunglasses, while Daniel sported a dark suit with an off-white undershirt.
A source told PEOPLE that the London ceremony was intended to be "special and personal, but not over-the-top," adding that they danced all night. They also teased the larger celebration to come in Italy, hinting at a "star-studded" event.
Details from the Sicilian Wedding
Reports indicate that Charli XCX wore a sheer dress for the Sicilian wedding, while George Daniel wore a suit. The couple reportedly walked down the aisle to Enrique Iglesias' 2001 hit "Hero." Guests included Matty Healy's mother, Denise Welch, and Troye Sivan, according to Just Jared. Page Six obtained exclusive photos of the event and also reported that Charli stunned in a lace mini dress on Friday, while George donned an all-black outfit.
A source told The Sun that the couple dubbed the second wedding the "rave cave," emphasizing that it was going to be a wild celebration.
How the Romance Blossomed
Charli and Daniel got engaged in November 2023, after the "Boom Clap" singer shared an Instagram post announcing the milestone. They first connected in 2021 while working on the single "Spinning," which featured Charli XCX, The 1975, and No Rome and was co-produced by Healy and Daniel.
They confirmed their relationship in a May 2022 Instagram post, after Daniel supported Charli at her Saturday Night Live performance in March. Charli expressed her desire to "be wifed up" and have a family in a February 2023 interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.
