Two people are dead after a house fire in central Alberta Wednesday morning, RCMP say.
Shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 24, Olds RCMP were called to a structure fire on 1 Avenue in Torrington.
Officers arrived to a house fully engulfed in flames, police say.
The Torrington Fire Department and other neighbouring crews also attended the scene.
Once it was safe to go inside, crews found two deceased people.
They have been identified as the residents of the home, a 57-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman.
An autopsy on the victims is scheduled in Calgary on Thursday.
The fire isn’t believed to be suspicious, but an investigation into the incident continues.
