Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has publicly stated that Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi should move to Europe to further his development. Broos believes that the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) will soon become "too easy" for the talented youngster, hindering his potential growth.

Speaking after announcing his squad for the crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Rwanda, Broos emphasized the importance of South African players seeking opportunities in European leagues. “If you see the quality and the talent of Mbokazi, I’m very sorry to Pirates but this guy has to go away next year,” Broos said, expressing his respect for the club while underlining his belief in the player's potential.
