RCMP Suspect Foul Play in Missing B.C. Mother's Case, Sister Pleads for Information

Foul Play Suspected in Disappearance of B.C. Mother, Jennifer Provencal

The RCMP now suspect foul play in the disappearance of 51-year-old Jennifer Provencal, who was last seen near 100 Mile House in Forest Grove, B.C., on February 5, 2025. The North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) is now leading the investigation into her suspicious disappearance, which was reported on April 21, 2025.

Sister's Plea for Information

Johanne Provencal, Jennifer's sister based in Montréal, issued a heartfelt plea for new information and tips that could lead to answers for her family. Speaking about her missing sister in the past tense, Johanne expressed her deep sorrow and longing for closure. She reported her sister missing to RCMP on April 21, 2025.

"I miss the long calls that I would have with Jennifer on the phone and hearing the love that she had for her sons; she loved being a mom," said Johanne Provencal.

Johanne is urging anyone with information about Jennifer's whereabouts to come forward, even if the information seems insignificant. She emphasized the importance of finding Jennifer's remains so that her loved ones can honor her life.

RCMP Investigation and Public Appeal

The RCMP are exploring all avenues in the search for Jennifer Provencal and believe there are people with critical information who have not yet spoken to investigators. A second press release was issued June 3, asking anyone who may have seen Provencal or knew where she may be to contact 100 Mile House RCMP.

Cpl. David Bandurak of the NDMCU stated that while Jennifer's disappearance is suspicious, they have not given up hope in locating her and finding answers for her loved ones. He urges anyone with information to contact the police.

"Our investigators continue to explore all avenues in our search for Jennifer. While her disappearance is suspicious, we have not given up hope in locating her and finding answers for her loved ones," said Cpl. David Bandurak.

Anyone with information on Jennifer Provencal’s whereabouts is asked to contact 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-1254. The file number for her case is 2025-1254.
