A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Centre Wellington Township on Saturday morning. The incident occurred on Wellington Road 22, prompting a road closure and investigation by the Wellington County OPP.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene on Wellington Road 22, near Jones Baseline, shortly before 10:30 a.m. According to the Wellington County OPP, the motorcyclist was the sole individual involved in the crash. Due to the severity of the injuries, the rider was transported by air ambulance to a hospital in Hamilton.

The OPP’s West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team is actively involved in investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
