Jan Ravnik: From Taylor Swift's Eras Tour to Dancing With the Stars

Jan Ravnik, a professional dancer best known for his role in Taylor Swift's monumental Eras Tour, is making his debut as a pro on Dancing With the Stars Season 34. Swifties will recognize him from his viral moments during the tour, and now he's partnered with Jennifer Affleck of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" to compete for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

Taylor Swift's Advice and Eras Tour Memories

Ravnik shared that Taylor Swift taught him "just to be an icon and be true to yourself." He expressed his happiness for her engagement to Travis Kelce, adding that "she deserves the best." He also reflected on his time on the Eras Tour, stating he "never imagined I’d be performing in front of sold out stadiums across the globe" on Instagram. He specifically thanked choreographer @nopenother and Swift for pushing him to grow as an artist.

Joining Dancing With the Stars

Jan Ravnik was announced as the only new pro dancer joining Dancing With the Stars on August 28. He expressed his excitement in an Instagram post, saying, "Hey, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ family. My name is Jan Ravnik and I’m a new addition for this season and I’m very excited." He is paired with actress Jen Affleck, with their first performance scheduled for September 16 on ABC and Disney+.

The Ladder and Week 1 Salsa

Affleck is determined to incorporate Ravnik's famous "ladder dance" from the "Lavender Haze" performance into their routines. "We’re definitely going to throw in the ladder at some point. No question," she told Elite Daily. Their Week 1 performance will be a Salsa to “NUEVAYoL” by Bad Bunny, marking the beginning of their journey on DWTS. Ravnik has been sharing rehearsal videos on Instagram.

Other Career Highlights

Beyond the Eras Tour, Jan Ravnik's impressive resume includes performances with artists like Paula Abdul, Bruno Mars, Lewis Capaldi, and Mariah Carey. He also appeared at the 97th Academy Awards and served as a guest choreographer for the 2025 Dance World Cup in Burgos, Spain.
