Marcos Llorente Reignites "Chemtrail" Theory in Getafe Post
Marcos Llorente, the Atlético Madrid footballer, has once again sparked online discussion after commenting on a Getafe CF social media post referencing the "chemtrail" or aerial spraying theory. This is not the first time he has expressed views on the subject.
Llorente's Comment and the Getafe Post
The Getafe post was a carousel of images, and Llorente commented "Fumigación en la 2" ("Spraying in the 2nd"), referring to the second photograph. This photo showed Getafe players celebrating Mario Martín's goal against Oviedo, with a visible airplane contrail in the sky above.
Previous Mentions and His Wife's Views
This isn't the first time Llorente has referenced "chemtrails," often associated with the idea of deliberate chemical trails. His wife, Patricia (Paddy) Noarbe, has also shared similar opinions online. She has previously claimed that those who deny geoengineering "don't want to look at the sky, or the BOE/AEMET or the OMM." Months prior, Llorente also posted a video on Instagram showcasing airplane contrails, accompanied by the phrase "Basta ya" ("Enough is enough").
What is Geoengineering?
Geoengineering encompasses a collection of technologies aimed at intervening and modifying the climate on a global scale. One prevalent theory suggests that the visible trails left by airplanes are not simply water vapor but chemical substances released to manipulate the climate or exert control over the population. This theory is widely considered a conspiracy theory by the scientific community.
