Drafted No. 1 overall by the Penguins in 2003, Fleury spent his first 13 seasons in Pittsburgh, becoming a beloved figure and integral part of three Stanley Cup championships alongside teammates Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang. His departure came after being selected by Vegas in the expansion draft following the Penguins' second consecutive championship in 2017.

However, his legacy is deeply rooted in his time with the Penguins, where he holds numerous goaltending records, including games played (691), wins (375), and shutouts (44).

While he also played for the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild, his contributions in Pittsburgh are etched in the franchise's history. Despite a brief stint with the Blackhawks, where he played 45 games, his impact was undeniable, posting a .908 save percentage and 2.95 goals against average.
