£25,000 Reward Offered After £100,000 Worth of Frozen Prawns Stolen from Sykes Seafood Facility

Sykes Seafood Ltd’s headquarters is based on Omega Boulevard in Great Sankey.

At around 12.50am yesterday, Saturday, a fully loaded trailer was stolen from its processing facility in Sefton Lane Industrial Estate, Maghull.

It is believed a white DAD tractor carried the trailer out of the secure facility.

Now, a £25,000 reward is being offered for details that lead ‘directly to the identification and conviction of the thieves’ and the safe recovery of the £100,000 worth of frozen prawns.

Neil Townend, managing director of Sykes Seafood Ltd, said: "This was a targeted and serious crime against our business.

"We are appealing to anyone with information to come forward and assist the police in their investigation.

"Our priority is to recover the stolen stock and ensure those responsible are brought to justice."
