Two men have been arrested in the Montreal area in connection with a stolen vehicle ring valued at $1.8 million. The Quebec provincial police, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), announced the arrests, which stem from an investigation that began in December 2024.
Arrests and Court Appearance
The suspects, aged 40 and 59, voluntarily turned themselves in at a court in Joliette, Quebec, on September 19. They were subsequently ordered to be detained. Police indicate that these arrests are a direct result of the ongoing investigation into the theft of vehicles in the greater Montreal area.

The investigation began in December 2024, culminating in raids on properties in l'Épiphanie, Quebec. During these raids, officers seized vehicles valued at over $1 million. These vehicles, identified as stolen, included SUVs, a tractor, snowmobiles, and trailers. A follow-up search on September 25 uncovered further evidence, increasing the total value of recovered vehicles to the aforementioned $1.8 million.
