University of Utah to Host FOX Big Noon Kickoff for Ranked Clash Against Texas Tech

Utah Utes to Host FOX Big Noon Kickoff Before Big 12 Opener Against Texas Tech

The University of Utah Utes are set to host FOX's Big Noon Kickoff pregame show on Saturday, September 20, 2025, ahead of their highly anticipated Big 12 Conference opener against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. This marks the first time the popular college football preview show will broadcast live from the University of Utah campus.

FOX Big Noon Kickoff Comes to Salt Lake City

FOX's Big Noon Kickoff will originate from Ute Village, located at the southwest corner of Guardsman Way and 500 South, next to the Smith’s Ultimate Tailgate Experience. The broadcast will begin at 8 a.m. MT, preceding the 10 a.m. MT kickoff at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The Barstool College Football Show will kick things off at 7 a.m. at the same location.

The show will be hosted by FOX Sports’ Rob Stone, and he will be joined by a panel of college football analysts including former stars Mark Ingram II, Matt Leinart, and Brady Quinn. Adding a local flavor, former Utah Utes head coach and 2025 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Urban Meyer, who led the Utes to their undefeated 2008 season, will also be featured.

In addition to the main cast, Barstool's Dave Portnoy and Chris 'The Bear' Fallica will provide their insights and betting analysis. Award-winning reporters Bruce Feldman and Tom Rinaldi will also be on site to deliver interviews and expert commentary.

Big Noon Saturday Showdown: Utes vs. Red Raiders

The game between the #20-ranked Utes and the #21-ranked Red Raiders promises to be a thrilling contest. Both teams enter the game with identical 2-0 records. A limited number of tickets remain available for purchase.

The Utes have demonstrated a potent offense, scoring a combined 106 points in their first two games while only allowing 19. The Red Raiders have been even more explosive, racking up 129 points and eclipsing 60 points in each of their first two games.

A victory on Saturday, Sept. 20, will provide either team with its first win against a ranked opponent this season and establish early momentum in the Big 12 Conference.

Game Day Details and Coverage

The Utah vs. Texas Tech game will be broadcast on FOX as part of their Big Noon Saturday lineup. FOX’s Big Noon Saturday time slot has consistently achieved high viewership numbers, averaging 6.74 million viewers in 2023.

According to Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham, the team welcomes the early kickoff time.
