According to local news reports from NTV News and KLKN-TV, the Adams County Sheriff's Department responded to the crash at an uncontrolled intersection on a rural road near Hastings. The collision involved a pickup truck driven by Blake Whitcomb and a farm silage truck operated by Dale Feik, 66. The accident occurred on September 15, 2025.
Both drivers were transported to Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital for treatment. Tragically, Ryder and Laynee Rae, passengers in Blake Whitcomb's pickup truck, were pronounced dead at the scene.
